About
Rosa Lopez
Raised in Santiago de Chile in a family of ten siblings, abstract and figurative artist Rosario Lopez moved to Australia in 2012. Inspired by her past and the everyday scene — colour, movement, landscape and the human figure — her art is an impression of feelings and technical expertise.
Always drawing on her school books, she chose fine arts early. Motion, urban scenarios, linear and architectural compositions have taken her attention enormously. The artist tends to make structural compositions focusing on balance, movement and colour.
Using acrylic and Chinese ink on cotton paper or canvas, Rosa combines grayish green and pink colours, vertical and horizontal lines that define a unique stamp of the artist.
